Treatment Services

Offering specialized treatment for a diverse range of speech and language disorders, with a focus on providing tailored care for every child. We address speech sound disorders, fluency disorders like stuttering, along with receptive and expressive language challenges, including developmental delays and specific language impairments. Our services extend to social communication issues, often seen in autism spectrum disorder and down syndrome. Additionally, we offer literacy support, focusing on helping children recognize individual sounds, decode, and read to improve their written comprehension skills. Committed to evidence-based practices, we provide a whole-child approach, with effective therapy techniques to enhance each child's communication and literacy abilities to their fullest potential.

Evaluation

A Speech, Language, and Literacy Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment process designed to identify and understand an individual's spoken and written communication abilities. This evaluation typically involves a variety of standardized tests and observational methods to assess speech sound production, language comprehension and expression, and fluency of speech. Additionally, it delves into literacy aspects, evaluating skills such as phonological awareness, the ability to recognize and manipulate sounds in spoken language, decoding skills for reading, and comprehension abilities for both written and spoken language. The results of this evaluation are crucial in developing a targeted therapy plan to enhance the individual's communication and literacy skills, supporting their academic and social success.

Free Consultations

Consultations provide an opportunity for parents, educators, or other professionals to discuss specific concerns about a child's speech and language development with a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist. During a consultation, the therapist can offer professional advice, suggest appropriate next steps, and provide general guidance on communication development. This can include discussing whether a full evaluation is necessary, offering strategies to support language development at home or in the classroom, and answering any specific questions the caregiver may have. Both screenings and consultations are integral in ensuring timely and appropriate intervention for speech and language difficulties.
